In the performance overlay, the game latency sometimes goes in the orange range. Luckily the game itself is still quite playable, it's just a bit immersion breaking right now every time I load up the Galaxy Map. Connect to your computer to watch movies, browse the web or play games on a giant virtual screen or in various theater environments. But, with virtual desktop, I feel some slight lag and the frame rate jumps between 70-80. I'll repost if I find anything suspicious. I don't have access to my PC right now, but I'll check later tonight to see if there are any processes eating up CPU resources all of a sudden that weren't there before, but I can't think of a likely culprit of the top of my head. I'm not aware of any updates to Elite in the last week, and I have the latest Nvidia drivers (got an update today in fact) for my RTX 2060 Super. What happened? The only thing I did last Thursday or Friday was to uninstall my Logitech X52 software since that was causing other issues with my stick losing calibration mid-flight. On Link, while there is no flickering, the hourglass shows up in the lower right corner and the OculusDebugTool performance HUD shows the framerate dropping from a solid 72 to 0 during menu or galaxy map loading. Today I tried over Link to see if it was unique to VD, but saw a similar issue. Just recently, I'd say since last Thursday'ish, I started having issues where I would get horrible flickering in VD when loading the galaxy map or the game menu. I had to tweak the settings to get optimal performance, but once I got there it was great. I've been playing Elite for about 6 months now on my OG Oculus Quest, either through Link or Virtual Desktop. ![]()
